KUNSTINITIATIEF ANTIDOTE
Antidote is an interdisciplinary arts initiative that experiments with creative self-organization and practices of solidarity within the performing arts.
It arose from a shared desire to find an antidote to hypercompetitive and capitalist structures within the art world. Antidote functions as a laboratory for collective and reciprocal practices through the creation of festivals, performances, parties and other events through which we bring art and audience together in unexpected ways. In each Antidote project, we work together as a temporary collective in various assemblies.With a DIY/DIT attitude, we are dedicated to a continuous research into a more transparent, collaborative and solidary arts praxis.
Antidote’s core initiators are Bibi Scholten van Aschat, Doke Pauwels & Koen Bartijn.
